Manufacturing of fired clay pottery belongs to the oldest crafts in Slovakia. Its beginnings go back to prehistorical times. Availability and formability of the clay enabled manufacturing of different items of everyday use. These products reflected the way of life, level of manufacture, culture, and art of our ancestors. Peter Tatárik from Selce manufactures ceramics typical for village Ľubietová with its characteristic colours – brown, white, black, and green. The ceramics is very valuable, as it is hand-made and hand-painted. You can choose from the variety of utility or decorative ceramics and souvenirs.
