Bystrá cave
Horehronie also hides underground beauties and secrets. “Bystrianska jaskyňa” is the most significant cave in the Horehronie valley. It is known for its remarkable rock formations and the development of underground spaces, the occurrence of sinter filling as well as favourable climatic conditions for speleo-therapeutic treatments.
The tour circuit is 580 m long and is almost without ascent (26 stair). The cave is accessible also for disabled visitors. The tour lasts 45 minutes. Temperature in the cave is constant between 5.7°C and 6.7°C.
The cave was created by tectonic-erosive activity and modelled by an underground stream, which currently flows through cave spaces at a depth of 15 to 20 m below the level of the tour route. During the tour you can see three abysses with a depth of cca. 20m. The cave is interesting due to the diversity of spaces on the tour circuit.
The length of the tour is 45 minutes, 580 m. Temperature ranges from 5.7°C to 6.7°C.
