Memory hidden in art is a precious heritage that is passed down through generations. Memories of childhood, former rural life, traditions, and customs have been transferred by Jozef Gavura into his artwork. A unique collection of traditional folk architecture miniatures can be found in his farmyard in the village of Pohorelá, located at the foot of the Low Tatra mountain range. The rugged village beneath the Orlová hill fascinated its fellow countrymen with the resilience of its people, their hard work, and their love for their craft.

Desire, strength and patience are the main tools in Master Gavura's persistent work. Each of the wooden houses represents an original piece of a rich collection of miniatures and an authentic depiction of the original folk architecture. He began to produce the detailed miniatures fourteen years ago and they are an integral part of his work to this day.
