A strudel from the rolled dough cannot match the traditional drawn strudel. However, lack of time for preparation caused that the drawn strudel began to disappear from family tables of Horehronie. When the kneading and pulling of the brittle dough is abandoned, the unique taste of the golden-roasted crunchy strudel, which is a result of the right preparation, is lost. It has been passed down from generation to generation in families of Horehronie for years. Hand-made dough has mostly been and continues to be filled to this day with poppy-cherry, poppy-apple or walnut-apple filling according to local customs in Horehronie. Traditional tastes of a genuine drawn strudel are brought back to life by the Breznian confectionery. When preparing its drawn strudel, it insists on the traditional recipe for preparing the dough, which is enriched with a juicy poppy-cherry filling. The filling is made from hand-picked poppy seeds grown in one of Horehronie’s villages - Jasenie.
