Visit a place where you can enjoy local specialties overlooking the panorama of the Low Tatras mountains

Dedečekova chata is a tourist lodge in the Low Tatras mountains, near the top cable car station of the SKI & BIKE CENTER in the Mýto pod Ďumbierom village.

It was built on the site of the original cottage, where only ruins remained over the time, and finally saw the light of day in 2015 after a difficult and complicated construction process. It is named after the first owner and designer of the mountain lodge, Mr. Dedeček. The first idea was to do something for people to attract them into the nature, to create a destination where they want to return, hide from bad weather, to get warm, eat, drink and refresh themselves, do something for their body and their health. Prepare a place for families, friends, acquaintances, tourists, to meet to enjoy good food and drink, remember shared experiences, laugh and relax, find new friends and enjoy coming back again and again.

How do you get to the mountain lodge “Dedečkova chata”?

Take the “Kyslíková cesta” trail from the Brezno town, and cross the Lazná valle. It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Take the trail from Brezno and cross the “Rúry” valley. Duration: approx. 1 hour 35 min.

Follow the trail from the Vagnár hill (between the Mýto pod Ďumbierom village and “Halny” district in Brezno) to hills of Pohanské, until the network transmitter and mountain saddle Diel. Duration: 1 hour 20 min.

Walk up the ski slope which starts in Mýto pod Ďumbierom. Turn to the right. Duration: approx. 30 minutes.

Hiking trail from the Bystrá village. It starts next to the “Bystrianska” cave. Duration: approx. 50 minutes.

“Potôčky” hiking trail from the Valaská village: 1 hour 20 min.
