If you fancy breathtaking views, you will find a unique lookout station “Polomské očko” just a short distance from the village Polomka in the upper Hron region, which offers magnificent views to all corners of the area. You will get to the lookout station from the parking lot in the Polomka village, where you can park your car comfortably, and hike a two-kilometre direct climb route with the estimated duration of one hour. The lookout tower “Polomské očko” is located at the highest point on the slope at the ski resort Polomka Bučník at the altitude of 900 m.a.s.l. After you overcome 300 meters of superelevation above the sea level, your goal will be within your reach with the most spectacular views of the cloud inversion.

Thanks to the location of the lookout station and its height of 30 meters in total, you will see as far as the ridge of the Low Tatras in the north, and the “Muránska planina” plateau in the south, for example. If you need to regain the strength you need to go back, refresh yourself at the recently built tourist shelter located near the lookout tower.
